In November 2007, Datteln laid the foundation for a new, highly efficient hard coal fired power plant. With over 45 percent efficiency, the new Datteln 4 power plant block should set standards in terms of energy efficiency and climate protection in the use of coal for the generation of electric energy. The commercial operation is set to commence at the start of 2011. Unfortunately, due to the work safety requirements, you cannot visit us at the construction site.
